I'd love a new dance album fron Janet but not only do I not see it coming that soon (for Janet, three years between albums is a blessing, so a little more than a year would shock me). Also, I highly doubt JD woule make the kind of dance album that Janet fans craze. We want more Euro producers and less Kayne (AND no Lil' Jon, please!).

i think her album is going to sound like something that Ciara or Beyonce would do. I think she's too afaird of trying some new... and unproven

I wish Janet would give up on trying to be popular and just make a great album. Sure, sometimes you can do both, but it would be nice to see her artistic side.

Impressed

I love that song "Truly." Damita Jo had some nice slow jams.

Only the americans like our dance producers lol
Most european acts are dying to get enough money to work U.S producers.at the best they are tacky and only suit other tacky musical acts like Kylie and Reachel Stevens. Only euro Dj I can think of that would truly suit Janet are Richard X and Ben Watt. I think Kayne should come back again because "I want you" was one her best tracks ever. Dallas Austin needs to go!!JALW sounded like a "fresh mint" commercial.

jaanet doesn't do hip hop. janet doesn't do electronic sounds or techno. she doesn't do jazz and she doesn't do country. janet does pop. an attorney who works in mergers and acquisitions does not do criminal defense work. why would they? its not their field and, more importantly, not their interest. why should janet do music that she isn't interested in? everybody says "janet needs to do something new" and then out of the other side of their mouth they say things like "prince needs to do what he wants to do." so does that not count for other artists as well?

I guess.
I personally have no problems with Janet's artistic expression through her music, though i really didn't like damita jo at all.....

I would much rather see janet learn new dance routines on her tours, but i guess that would be contradicting myself.

wouldn't that be nice?
we have to see how the trial ends though..... and even if he is set free out of innocence, there won't be much time to create and promote a new album this year...
Maybe next year

Just an album of vault material would more then satisfy me. Back in 1997 or 1998, Janet told presenter Trevor Nelson that the Jacksons had finished making an album.....what the fuck happened to that eh?

i agree with the idea of learning new dance routines. that's why i was so excited when i heard that she was going to be working with a new choreographer for the "damita jo" tour. i would love to see her challenge herself as a dancer because its a huge part of what she's known for; good pop music and good dance performances. now, i'm not talking about interpretive dance or anything like that...just new, fresh choreography in the style of what she's good at.

I sort of agree on JALW but liked it. "I Want You" was boring and that was th best of the tracks he worked on. Janet needs to lose Kayne's phone number! I'm not sure who good American dance producers are just because dance music is more faceless than ever and nothing is crossing over anymore. I just want Janet to do more dance oreinated stuff and I'm not talking about Lil' Jon but I'm pretty sure that's what's going to happen.

But yet it still managed to sound a hell of a lot better than anything Michael's put out in years.
