I like Whitney's voice better but I think Mariah has more of a wide range of musical styles.

Whitney VS Mariah?? what is it 1995 again
I am bias, but I prefer Mariah cause she's a singer/songwriter. but Whitney does have an amazing voice. in 2005 the better question is WHITNEY VS COURTNEY LOVE . [Edited 4/13/05 20:36pm]

Hell, I can't stand either one of them. Being forced to listen to their music would be like a day in hell and begging for a drop of water on my tongue. If I had to choose, I would choose Mariah over Whitney. Andy is a four letter word.

Vocally Whitney is/was a better vocalist. Musically I prefer Mariah. I like early whintey and early mariah.

Both ladies have outstanding voices, but these days,I prefer Mariah

Whitney is told what to sing. You bring up a good point.Mariah is very much involved with the making of her music. She writes most of her own lyrics and from the very beginning, she made it clear that she wanted creative control. She works with producers, but it's always a 50/50 situation, with her and the producer working side by side and writing/ creating the songs together. Her lyrics are personal and heartfelt. I'm surprised at the lack of input Whitney has with her own music. She doesn't write that much, and all of her her albums feel as if they're "created" by her record label bosses. She needs to take charge and define herself with an honest, introspective, personal album that she (mostly) writes herself.

Like opinions really matter...one of them isn't gonna explode if the other gets more votes
But Mariah is the best "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

Whitney Houston in her prime was better than Mariah...technically just a lil bit stronger.
I Will Always Love you and Greatest Love of All VS Hero and Vision of Love Arguably their two best/well known ballads. Close call, ain't it?

This must be one of those "bad days" (at least physically). Looks like she going for the Clarissa Flockhart... ..."Skin & Bones" award. I'd have to go with early Mariah over Mrs. Brown. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. i always wondered why she wore that pebbles flinstone get-up if she knew she was looking like skeletor at the time...cover that shit up! or better yet, she should have not shown up and just taken the bad publicity...she was looking like one of the back up dancers for the Thriller video. I can't imagine seeing that shit on the jumbo-tron in Madison Square Garden..yikes. you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

Mariah writes so well, that at times it seem to be plagiarize. Can she honestly come up with an original hit .....I'm Mr.wiggles da w1rm These are my ladies... Giggle & Squirm
