The melody is too redundant and there are no significant chord progressions like he's known for creating. I dunno, sounds pretty to me (and ya'll know how this hurts me to say that ).
I wanted you of all people to love this song!

We're on the same page about the lack of harmonic and melodic interest. (check my comments earlier in the thread). Hopefully there's real Stevie brilliance on the rest of the CD. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Agreed. I'm glad to see Stevie given up for the funk once more.

I wanted you of all people to love this song! Yeah, me, too David...that's why it hurts me to say what I said. I will note, however, that I love his live drum playing. It's so simple, yet distinct. Kinda puts me in the same mindset as "Superstition." I know the rest of the album will be much better, I'm just hoping this isn't his one "funky" track to jump off the release.

I love this song, been listening to it non-stop for the last few days. It's getting tremendous airplay in my area. This will be a big album for Stevie and I'm thrilled. It's time for a REAL artist to make a comeback! But yeah I agree with you...there are stronger songs on the album,I just know it.
