Vote who's better Aerosmith or Rolling Stones VOTE.
What u think. I am voting for Rolling Stones...they got da funk. He says Aerosmith has better songs... what u think? Straight Jacket Funk Affair

There's no real answer to this.
Aerosmith are undoubtably more accomplished musicians (technically) and still have some great songs in them (and more energy on stage). But The Rolling Stones are better as icons, more influential and more experimental at times. I've seen them both live - Aerosmith had a better sound and played better, but there was nothing quite like seeing Mick, Keith and the guys doing their stuff (oh and Charlie got the biggest cheer I've every heard in Wembley Stadium!) | |

I like both bands a lot. Both have made some great songs over the years, but if I absolutely had to pick, I would choose.....

I hate to say who's better, but I will say I prefer more songs from the catalog of the Stones than I do from Aerosmith. | |

Rolling Stones. Best Rock & Roll band ever. Period.
Aerosmith used to be a kick ass rock & roll band, but sometime during the 80's, they lost the roll. Luckily, they found some of it on "Honkin' on Bobo," but they will never be what they were. Speaking of rock & roll, Aerosmith is a good example of why rock music sucks so badly these days. People rock, but they don't roll any longer. The last real rock & roll band was probably the Black Crowes. It's a jungle out there. | |

I agree. I rarely listen to Aerosmith, although I really respect them as a band and can see the appeal. I just like The Stones' music better. Although, Joe Perry.....  Damn.

Stones hands down. The Stones are THE rock and roll band and yes they got da funk way more than most white rockers who've consciously tried to be funky. Aerosmith is a solid american hard rock band, but in terms of influence, importance, artistic accomplishment and longevity NOBODY beats the stones. | |
