"Another One Bites the Dust" - Queen
"Heart of Glass" - Blondie
"Celebration" - Kool and the Gang
"I Love Rock and Roll" - Joan Jett
"Tainted Love" - Soft Cell

Anything by ELO immediately makes me think of being at the roller rink

sad Wow, I really feel sorry for you that you were unable to expereince the roller disco. For old schoolers growing up in the 70's and 80's, this was where it was at befor we were of age to even get into a club.

It sure was. The skating rink was the absolute place to be. Most of them down here continued on in the late 1980s for a little while (I was in clubs by then). In the early 1990s, most of them closed because the little devils can't go and have a good time without fighting and shooting and shit. It's a damn shame because I have nephews now and skating would be a nice place to take them. All they ever do is play video games and complain that there's nothing to do.

nod Yep Vain. In the 90's , the shit did hit the fan. It's a shame that roller disco has lost its momementum thanks to thugs b/c the kids of today are missing out on some fun.
