MARIAH everywhere this week coming up Well Mariah and Universal are kicking the Promo into gear. Mariah will first appear on some OPRAH special on Wednesday then on Thursday she premieres her Making the Video on MTV for Its Like that, then On friday shes on TRL and Later that Friday she appears on BET and 106th and Park to premiere the video. Currently her Its Like that single is stalled at number 20 on the chart, however thats not bad since MARIAH actually got airplay for a single for the first time since 1999's Heartbreaker. Since then Mariah has been able to only Chart on the strength of Slaes but since Singles dont really get made anymore she has to depend on Airplay mostly and Downloaded singles. The Video should help the song a litle, but its probably run its course. Im not a fan of the song though I love her, Im just waiting for the Video too see what she looks like. It seems odd that the video has taken so long to come out.The song premiered on radio weeks ago! These days,most artists release the video the same time that the song comes out. | |

It seems odd that the video has taken so long to come out.The song premiered on radio weeks ago! These days,most artists release the video the same time that the song comes out. I think there was a few reasons, the track leaked to radio before it was meant to be released, also Mariah has been suffering from poor radio airplay in the last few years so they delayed a video so radio would be only media outlet people can hear it (it's her biggest radio hit since Heartbreaker) also the video is a big buget affair directed by Brett Ratner that had alot post production (her second video and single was shot at the same time as the story line from the first video continues in the second clip "WE BELONG TOGETHER" | |
