When I was about eight I use to listen to James Brown...

"Poppa Don't Take No Mess" so much my mom broke the 45 in half. lol

Has this happened to any of you?

I hear you, my dad didn't talk to me for a year after I tried spinning the end of darling nikki backwards on his turntable with a $120 needle. lol Though, he never asked me open a beer for him either. But, he did ask me if I knew where his weed was a couple of times. lol

it was always a big deal when i was a kid and james brown would be performing on TV award shows or variety shows or whatever. we'd just be glued to the TV. him and patti labelle, it was always just a huge deal when they'd be on something, we'd just be there in our la-z-boys, all in awe. those were the days...
