Why's that? Seems pretty standard Cure fare to me. I dunno man, I'm not saying I've fallen out of love with their music ... at least I hope that's not what it means ... but the lyrics on this album, they just hit me wrong. Maybe it's just all the emo bullshit that's popular right now, but most of the album sounds more like whining about nothing to me than anything the cure have done before. I will say this: the four songs left off of the U.S. version of the album are some of the best. Especially "going nowhere"... If any of you haven't heard that song, go find it! Keep your headphones on.

Man, I really disagree. I feel the last two albums have been a return to form. I was getting worried with Wish (which is okay, but contains crap like "Friday I Wanna Blow My Head Off If I Ever Hear This Annoying Fucking Song Again") and Wild Mood Swings (which may be the crappiest album by a band I like ever! Seriously, its their New Power Soul). I really feel Bloodflowers and The Cure got them back on trackm musically and lyrically. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

I'm always late for these things.
1. What was the first Cure album you purchased or were given, and what was the year? Probably Disintergration along with Standing on the Beach back in 2003. 2. What was the first video you remember seeing, and which one is your favorite to date? Well I think it was Just Like Heaven back when it came out. 3. Have you ever seen The Cure in concert? Which tour(s) and how many times? NO! 4. Favorite album and why? Disintegration, because it defines The Cure. 5. Least fave and why? The Top, because it least defines The Cure. 6. Favorite song? Any specific memories/stories you have about it? Fascination St., because it rocks and it reminds me of when the album came out. 7. Any Cure song you cannot stand? How come? I haven't really heard one yet. Oh wait, there is that one on "Faith". 8. Favorite duet or collabo? That one with that chick from that band. 9. Who would you like to see Robert Smith do a duet with? or Bono. 10. Favorite era? This can be based on decade, band lineup, sound, anything really. The late 80's era with the Smith/Gallup/Tolhurst/Williams/Thompson lineup. 11. What artist(s) do you see a major Cure influence on? Probably AFI and Placebo among millions of others. 12. Favorite television moment? Seeing their Berlin Trilogy concert on Pay Per View for the first time. 13. Favorite b-side or non-album track? A Man Inside My Mouth! 14. First single you purchased or were given? Don't own one. 15. Last single you purchased or were given? Don't own one. 16. Do you own all of The Cure's albums? If not, which was the last one you picked up? If so, will you be replacing them with the remasters? No, the last one I bought was Faith. I will probably not get any remasters. 17. Will you be buying the next one? Yes. 18. Would you like to see a Robert Smith solo album? Doesn't matter to me. But then again, isn't The Cure a lot like a Robert Smith solo outing? 19. Did you ever go through a goth phase where you dressed and wore your hair and makeup like Robert Smith? No. I would just look silly. 20. Is The Cure your overall favorite artist? If not, who is? Are they your favorite band? No, they're not, but I love them anyway. They're in the top 20. You know who my favorite artist is. I'm on his wesite right now. 21. What is your best memory tied to The Cure? Just listening to Disintegration for the first time and feeling good about it. I've gotta say that I've been listening to a lot of the Cure this weekend and I'm definitely getting into 'em. I really like Japanese Whispers and Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me might even challenge Head on the Door as my favorite Cure album. I've also given the self-titled CD a chance and I really like at least a few songs on there.
The local record store has Wish, Wild Mood Swings, Bloodflowers, and Pornography, Faith, and the Top. I'm gonna hold off on Pornography, Faith, and The Top until they're remastered, but out of the others, which album should I pick up? I'm leaning towards Bloodflowers at the moment. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.
