Usher & James Brown Roundup James Brown still let Usher know whose the boss. You all know it's a damn shame when a man who is in his 70's who has just went through cancer made a star in his 20's look like ammature chump. I usually don't care to watch the Grammy's but I am glad that I caught the Gradfther mop Usher's ass with the pavement.

With all due respect to The Hardest working man in show business, and as much as I hate Usher, I wouldn't characterize that presentation that way. Usher had some damn impressive moves that James Brown hasn't been able to do in years. Granted, James held his own and I'd like to see Usher do that well when he's 70, but to say James wiped the floor with him is not all accurate.

Im sorry 2 say but james had let great per4mers on stage with him. Michael Jackson 2 times, Prince and Usher.
The BET Michael Jackson breakout was much better in my opinion, but Usher was nice. I dont view it as a VS match, but more as a TRIBUTE to james. Bunches of us in the world can copy James as much as we want (Me and my brother can do those moves) but there will never be another James Brown. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

no i disagree, James Brown performance was much more interesting to watch than Usher's over produced, heavily choregraphed, jacko replica dance moves. For me I would have much rather seen James Brown by himself with more minutes to perform than just the few we saw, due to Usher's performance.
Usher just doesn't impress me. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Usher just doesn't impress me. I'd rather see any of the old artists by themselves without the newcomers ruining their act. Andy is a four letter word.

Usher copies MJ move for move. There isnt much originality with Usher. Sad but true.

Nothing is new under the sun..... The truth is that MJ and Prince are surely inspired by and imitate James to an extent. But, they both (in different ways) went beyond James. Usher, has not yet done anything that MJ hasn't already done. "New Power slide...."

Now i use to Copy Mj when i was young performer, but as im growing into an artist, I've developed my own style incorporating Prince, Mj, and old BBoy,Electric Boogaloo and ole fashion poppin... But when i saw the grammy's Cot DAYUM! He stole everything from MJ he got the style, the moves, GEEZUZ

Usher, has not yet done anything that MJ hasn't already done. but I would expect Usher study mj and not James. Usher is only 25 years old and only so many years into his career and yet we act like he's had the same length in his career as Prince, MJ and James Brown. We have to let some of these young artist grow up in their talents. I know some who thought Prince would not do anything past Purple Rain. I wanna see Usher in 10 years then I may critize and that goes for Beyonce and other younger artist. I feel what you guys are saying but really think that we dog everyone that comes out anymore.

Not as bad as nsync and Jacko at the 2001 mtv awards. Nsync put on a good performance then Michael came out.....his last spin was so weak. Plus he bizarrely needed a bottle of drink to hold on stage?
He even had a new haircut (which was actually quite good!) Same sorta idea though. (Justin is laughing I presume? )

He even had a new haircut (which was actually quite good!) Same sorta idea though. as much as I hate both of them, they're both better dancers than prince. Prince, while probably a superior artist to any of those mentioned (except JB of course) is probably the worst dancer of them all. Granted, his splits kickass and I like his style, but he could never do the kind of stuff that the others do. I'm sorry but Justin Timberlake or his equal Usher cannot lite a candle to MJ, Prince, or JB.
