Prince or Madonna!!!!! They are due for it! I think Maddy was slated to do it in 2000 but something happened...

Of course my 1st choice is Prince, but Madonna would be awesome! It would be a homecomming for Madonna. nod

Its gotta be something more exciting that Sir Paul. No disrespect but I thought his performance was quite dry.

I totally agree about Macca...it was just the same ol performance with the predictable 'Hey Jude' encore....I thought it was rather fitting for the event though...I'm sure all the middle-aged, beer guzzlin, football fans were all singing their asses off to 'Hey Jude'.....

The only acceptable one for me is Prince playing in his "second hometown"...hmm
wonder if they'll pick up on that very vague tidbit.

Off the heals of Janet's boob spill, I doubt the committee would approach a very controversial Madonna or Eminem.

Bob Seger seems too old and not very high on the well-known meter...

So...

My small bet would be on KID ROCK to rock the house...

My LARGE bet would be a Motown Revue...nod
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

It should be Our Lady of Bay City Michagan.

but it will probably be a Motown retrospective. Maybe if we are lucky and things go well with MJ on trial it could kick off the Jacksons world tour.

had to add an "s" to Jacksons

My guess is that the committee would steer WAY clear of MJ...

Just wanted to point out that Madonna was born in Bay City, MI but didnt grow up there. She grew up in Rochester (Detroit suburb).

It would be perfect. She could drop the accent and everything just for that day! Cosidering ratings where slightly down, Madonna would make halftime an event again.

Yup, I know. Her parents were visiting the Fortins, Madonna's mother's parents, and she wanted to meet them sooner than they were expecting.

she also lived in Auburn Hills, just a few miles from where the Palace of Auburn Hills is. Kinda fitting since two concerts were filmed and later released on video from the Palace

Either Prince or Madonna, just as long as the performer is not boring as hell.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

wasn't it though? i said in another thread that i had to turn the channel cause it was so lame. but if those 2 or someone with some kind of life played for next year, it would be so off da chain.

Which two concerts? I'm only aware of "Drowned World" being on TV/DVD. And why didn't she tour here! That still pisses me off!

Oh it should be Madonna no doubt. It's been held off just too long. It's her big chance, and she would just do a splendid job im sure.

She could sing:

Nobody Knows Me
Into The Groove
Music
Holiday

I assume by then she'll have a new album out, so knock "Nobody Knows Me" off. Not sure what the tracklisting would be, but those three look pretty good on there. Maybe "Vogue", which would be funny as hell. Come to think of it, I know Madonna is the biggest pop star ever but...at the Superbowl? American football?
