Recommend 80's Electro

I think Finess got me started on this, but in the movie "Shaun Of The Dead" after Shaun's girlfreidn breaks up with him after having a few beers at the bar Shaun and his friend are listening to this FUNKY ass 80's song (I dont know what the name of it is). Their roommate makes them turn it off and his friend says that' "its electro!!".
In my little mind Im sayin "electro huh.. cloud9 "

Anyway reccomend sum good stuff 2 me so I can have somethin 2 look 4!!
Probably wont be able 2 find it tho'

Also thank Cinne Cee for postin that cool pic on Deadstar's post

Off the top O my head my favorites would be:
"Five Minutes Of Funk" - Whodini
"Adventures OF Grandmaster Flash"
"Set It Off" -Strafe
"Rainforest" - Paul Hardcastle
...for examples..

u know..nothing fast, stuff I can do the ROBOT to. With those 'boop boop' sounds and old Jimmy & Terry snares and high uses of synth nod

I recently made an '80s electro/new wave/hip-hop comp. It's a bunch of songs that don't really fit into any one category:

"Buffalo Gals" (Scratch Version) - Malcolm McLaren
"Beat Box" (Diversion One) - The Art Of Noise
"Club Underworld" (12" Version) - Cerrone
"Cavern" - Liquid Liquid
"Your Life" (Party Mix) - Konk
"Al Naafiysh (The Soul)" - Hashim
"Confusion" - New Order

"Get Off My Case" (Remix) - The Comateens
"The Dominatrix Sleeps Tonight" (Dominant Mix) - Dominatrix
"Din Daa Daa" - George Kranz
"Don Quichotte" - Magazine 60
"White Horse" - Laid Back
"Tour De France" (French Version) - Kraftwerk
"World Destruction" - Time Zone
"I Wanna Be A Cowboy" - Boys Don't Cry

It flows together really well.

All The Stuff featured on the Streetsounds Electro albums are great too but those two above are special.

Hey,what is the cd with Buffalo Gals on it? I saw Duck Rock, but I don't remember that being the tape I had.Was there another one with just the hip hop stuff?I remember it being an ep,perhaps with just the electro stuff and not the world music. I may be wrong. Was it The Supreme Team?

Here's a few I could think of off the top of my head. I held back on a lot of them like "Planet Rock" and "Electric Kingdom" because you wanted some that weren't too too fast.

Raygunomics - Project Future
Nunk (New Wave Funk) - Warp 9
Bedrock - Glass
Take A Chance - Nuance
19 - Paul Hardcastle
Party Rock - P Crew
The Smurf - Tyrone Brunson
Sticky Situation - Tyrone Brunson
Freak-A-Zoid - Midnight Star
Operator - Midnight Star
Electricity - Midnight Star
We Are The Jonzun Crew - The Jonzun Crew
Total Control - Dynamic Breakers
We Are Whodini - Whodini
Breakdance (Electric Boogie) - West St. Mob
Let's Dance - West St. Mob
Joystick - The Dazz Band
Invasion - Ray Parker, Jr.
Andy is a four letter word.
