Hmmmm, good question this is. Paul was my favorite Beatles while he was in the Beatles. But post-breakup my favorite Beatle is John. Then George, then ringo.

John will always be the heart and soul of the Beatles, the creative brain of the Beatles. Paul made them popular, the pop side of the Beatles. George was the spiritual side of the Beatles, and Ringo was the comedic side. But John will always be #1, IMO.

I absolutely LOVE John, George, and Ringo. Paul annoys me though.

Poor old Paul. He wasn't the creative brain? He just wrote half the hit singles and virtually directed and moulded Sgt Peppers, The White Album, Abbey Road and Let it be, widely considered to be their best stuff.

Pauls biggest mistake was not getting killed. Then he would have become even more iconic that John.

Without one, none of them would've been what we know them to be now (somewhat obvious statement, I know confused, but valid none the less)

But if push came to shove, my fav. would be.....

He possessed such inner force .....so much heart

It took two people to write those hit songs. John was but one of them, and he was too wrapped up in all that hippy nonsense for my liking. But my favorite Beatle? Right here

I like George and Paul quite a bit, but I give George the edge. Paul was a great songwriter and bass player, but George's music had more of a creative edge. In general, Paul could write a hit and George could write a classic!

Paul doesn't get the credit he deserves, for sure, but I think the largest can of worms has now been opened lol

During the Beatles:

John
Paul
George
Ringo
Stu (for his influence on John)
Pete (cuz he needs something, dammit!)

Post Beatles:

John
George (If only for All Things Must Pass)
Paul (Sorry Paul. You had lots of hits, they just weren't very good)
Ringo (Love Ringo, but he's the luckiest man alive to be on this list at all)

1. John Lennon will always be my favorite-the man was brilliant and the wit and sarcasm to match.

2. George Harrison I think has always been underrated. His solo work especially should be explored by more people.

3. Paul McCartney, even though I think of John and George more as artists in the truer sense, without the John/Paul combination, music wouldn't be the same.

4. You've gotta love Ringo, and I think Bill Hicks said it best:

"Shit, the Beatles were so high they even let Ringo sing a couple of tunes!"

George.

The prettiest one inside and out.

My favourite George Beatles songs are:

01. Only A Northern Song
02. Within You, Without You
03. Long, Long, Long
04. Something
05. While My Guitar Gently Weeps
06. Taxman
