well after the displays above i'd say those guys too.

the last time i saw Living Colour, Doug Wimbish was sweating. i mean, he was sweating like crazy. he had a steady stream flowing from his wrist. now that's the real deal.

Believe me, I'm not young. I just don't know them. lol I can't know EVERYTHING now can I? I'm sure I could mention some bands that I know, and those guys would have no clue about them, and therefore I could give them this look as well ----> eek But anyway.....

Ok, so I just looked them up, and they still don't ring a bell. biggrin But reading their bio, I came across this:

"The follow-up album Another Mother Further lived up to its title. The opening track was a cover of the Holland-Dozier-Holland songwriting team's "Mickey's Monkey," made popular by Smokey Robinson. But the guitar riff was a blatant copy of Jimmy Page's from the Led Zeppelin song "Custard Pie," released two years earlier. Perhaps because the song was a cover, or the fact that they stole from blues legends early in their career, Led Zeppelin never sued and the track (along with others like "Piece of the Rock" and "Hard Rock Lover") helped make Another Mother Further the group's springboard."

hehehe... biggrin Yeah, Zeppelin knew they couldn't even try to sue anyone for stealing their songs. lol But I still love 'em of course.

U forgot the family stand!

Their "chain" album had some radio friendly rock on it (ala Byran Adams type stuff which was quite cool like "the last temptation") but a track like "shades of blue" off their "moon in scorpio" album is rockin'!

EverSoLesa

Tony Rich, Lenny Kravitz, Maxwell, Jon Butcher Axis, Defunkt, Kid Creole, Labelle, Grace Jones, Tina Turner, Osabissa, and Cymande.

Public Enemy was nominated for a grammy for "Bring the Noize" ??? Well they were placed in the "rap music" catagory...when CLEARLY that song should have been placed in "heavy metal", since the music they rapped over was provided by Anthrax !! And if I mentioned someone that someone else posted....sorry lol
