But what makes me wonder about our souls perhaps being twin ( the aries thing, late March births, Hendrix, etc.) is your inclusion of "Marcus". Can't believe u r hip to that. Not really surprised though. A lot of times on here, I reserved from naming certain folks, because I just didn't think a lot of humans on this site (not counting u and pali) would even begin to know who the hell I was talking about. Wasn't even going to post on here, mainly cuz of that reason. Didn't want to see the same tired ass list of people thinking cuz they know of Funkadelic, they're "hip". Good inclusion of him and where in the world did u get that picture from? Damn, Aud! O.k. then, r u hip to the band "Black Nazty"? "Talking To The People" 1974 "The Nazty" 1975 "Nazty's Got The Move" 1976 Even more drugged out, spacey ass black rock. This shit was banging! SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Marcus Malone has been a friend of mine since the early 80s. My wife's father used to do his hair back in Detroit. We had an all Black rock group around L.A. for a bit. Did the "L.A. Tour". Did gigs with The Bus Boys, Rhythm Tribe, etc. Spoke with Marcus via email a few weeks ago. He's currently in England. Oh, the pic with the boots and the album covers are from his website. Black Nazty was Johnnie Mae Matthews (female Berry Gordy) son's band. I met Art back in the day when I did a gig at her club in Detroit. You're no doubt hip to Sound Barrier: Bernie K. - vocals Tracey Singleton (aka Spacey T) - guitars Emil Lech - bass Dave Brown - drums When the Marcus Malone band was rehearsing at Falcon Studios on Santa Monica Blvd., those same guys (plus a female vocalist) had an R&B band called Kahlua that rehearsed in the next room. During their breaks we'd always see them peeking in on our rehearsals. A few months later, the next thing I knew they'd dumped the girl, turned into a metal band and not much later had a deal with MCA. The sad part is even after they got signed, they were still doing the "L.A. Tour". tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all." | |
