No I havent yet any good? Amazingly beautiful. Totally different vibe than Portishead, though. More in the line of Nick Drake music.

It's a completely different vibe, that's true. But when you love Beth Gibbons, you'll love this cd too. It's a fantastic cd, and it also got that dreamy atmosphere. I've written some fairy-tales listening to this woman's voice !

are you kidding? her voice is phantasmagorical. I especially like the way she sounds on the "portishead" album. her voice conjures up images of Minni Mouse, half eaten away by a fierce cocain addiction, shooting up in a dark loft with her lover still strapped to the bed, nippleclamps and all, eyeing her .45 on the table and plotting to rob the local pharmacy. I will definitely go into my next listening experience with this in mind!!! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

"Strangers" is the bomb! For the longest time I thought this lyric:
Where the morn meets the dew Was: Where the moon beats the jew
I was always trying to figure out what the fuck she meant by that 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I sure hope they have incorporated hwatever they have been doing the last 8 years into their music instead of stupidly recording another version of their second album, like Massive Attack has done with their latest outing. I hope their new album is something of a step away from what they have been doing. Has anyone heard the album Beth Gibbons made with Rustin' Man? [Edited 1/20/05 6:19am] I still haven't heard all of Danny the Dog yet I heard Beth's solo cd a while back, but I honestly don't remember much about it. It just didn't stand out enough for me to have it on constant play. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for it at the time, but I think I'll give it another chance once I get in the mood. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I was always trying to figure out what the fuck she meant by that I am extremely happy to see that somebody else had a hard time making those lyrics out. I thought the EXACT same thing.
