Jimmy Somerville Kills Dance Classics Jimmy Somerville/The Commundards/Bronski Beat, whichever incarnation it may have been, but Somerville killed at least 3 dance/disco classics: Don't Leave Me This Way, Never Can Say Goodbye and I Feel Love. I love a good falsetto, but his voice isn't my favorite. Please, tell me he didn't do this to any other songs. I saw the videos for the first two songs on VH1, and they're as bad as his remakes.

eh, i don't mind his remakes. they're inoffensive dancey gay bar fluff, and he's one of the few male vocalists who has a soulful enough voice to pass it off. i like his voice, but not enough to get into his albums - never really been a fan. but i like his version of "from this moment on" from the "red hot + blue" compilation.

That I liked quite a bit. His voice was great for that track. I guess more than his voice, it's the production on those dance numbers that I don't like. They're really generic.
