What is The Definitive P-Funk Tune?

Holla to all the Parliafunkadelicment fans out there first of all lol. Second, if you had to pick one song that best encompassed what P-funk was all about, what would it be? In my mind, it would have to be a song that combined all the best aspects of Funkadelic's style (heavy guitars, psychedelic weirdness) and Parliament's (super thick bass, squealing keyboards, horns) sooooo my pick might be something from Bootsy's Rubber Band say Stretchin out or The Pinocchio Theory. Anyone else?

Now this is a tough one.....
First song that came to mind was "The Mothership Connection".....

"Cosmic Slop" is another one...

Either "Not Just Knee Deep" or "One Nation Under A Groove"

but that still doesnt say much for their earlier albums with heavy guitars and drug induced madness.

Or even their political meltdowns headbang

yeah, One Nation Under A Groove . .believe it or not, heard that playing in the projects in Harlem on the afternoon of the blackout. Thought there'd be riots when the power went out, but it warn't nothin but a partay.

Anybody know anything about any further remastering being done?

'Funkentelechy' is much needed during this overly Placebo of times..

Man, I really Don't Think I could pick just one....One Nation, Flashlight Cosmic Slop, etc...

...Actually, one relatively recent tune that encompasses the strengths of P- funk is Sloppy Seconds, on T.A.P.O.A.F.O.M...on THAT track, you really see what Bernie, Bootsy and George's strengths are , and why it's never really the same if any one of those Three are missing from the equation...

These are all really good choices, I myself am really torn. I think One Nation Under A Groove is what I'm leaning towards at this point.

Man, this is getting tough but I still don't thank anyone's quite got it yet. There just has to be a song somewhere in the p-funk empire that encapsulated all the best aspects of the group/s personality/s I just can't decide what it is.

Again...."Mothership Connection"

Not only the song, but the album too.....
Everything else, is secondary.....

fro "We have return to claim the pyramid"..
"Partying on the mothership, I am the mothership's connection"....
P-Funk was nothing but a party, with a few political things in between.....
Bottom line....IT WAS A PARTY!!!!!
Give the people what they want, when they want,
And they wants it all the time!!!!..... headbang
