I've always liked this guy...for me it was 'american badass' that did it. That song is so powerful it can knock you out, just like that. Last I've seen from him was at the Cma's where he presented an award...get the impression he's trying to get into the country-scene...Picture was a clear attempt, and he's always hangin' with Bocephus (hank williams jr) for some reason. Oh, he was in gretchen wilsons 'redneck woman' video as well.

what's with all the hatin here though, the guy's just doing his own thing. You don't have to like it...but calling him a 'corporate sell out'...? where does that come from? I think that's more appropriate for britney, byonce and consorts.

I saw Kid Rock's Driven, and he tried to start out as a rapper. I think that whole "good ol' boy/redneck" thing is an act too, since his daddy was supposedly a successful salesman, meaning that he never had the "trailer" lifestyle.

And sure enough he did pimp the redneck rock game, became and coporate rocker and is playing for the President.

My only point was that a lot of people on this site like to bash artists for doing what they enjoy doing, and that's making music. I for one would not put someone down for doing what they have dreamed of doing. If they're making a living doing what they enjoy, more power to them. If you don't like their music, that's your opinion. Don't buy their music. But to bash them and say they suck, they're crap, they od'd at a Klan rally etc... is just wrong in my opinion.
