what's with all the hatin here though, the guy's just doing his own thing. You don't have to like it...but calling him a 'corporate sell out'...? where does that come from? Oh stop taking things so seriously.EVERYONE disses an artist that they don't like. It's not "hating"...they simply don't like the artist or their music. It's not more complicated than that.I'm a huge Madonna fan and she gets dissed here regularly, but do I care? But hey,if you like Kid Rock, why would you care what others think anyway?

People on here even bash Prince when this is a site dedicated to him. That's there right. I could really care less what anyone thinks about the music I listen too. I just don't like when people bash someone for making a living doing something they love. And I know there are alot of people on this site that are trying to do the same thing but failing. So in my opinion, that is why some people diss other artists on here. It's called jealousy. 'You must first be a Prince before you can be King'

I saw Kid Rock's Driven, and he tried to start out as a rapper. I think that whole "good ol' boy/redneck" thing is an act too, since his daddy was supposedly a successful salesman, meaning that he never had the "trailer" lifestyle. I did kinda like that song he did with Sheryl Crow called "Picture". looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I doubt that too many people would be jealous of someone like Kid Rock.

Well, the VH1 special only verified that redneck phase is a way for Kid to get the coporate dollar. I remember seeing one ofKid's black freinds from Detroit during the TV special quote him as saying the following: "I am going to learn how to get in touch with my whiteness so I can pimp this rock thing." And sure enough he did pimp the redneck rock game, became and coporate rocker and is playing for the President.

I simply don't read any threads about artists I don't like. Why would I? If I don't like them, why would I choose to talk about them? Your response just validates my point. You must be a struggling musician as well. Maybe I'll see your audition tape for American Idol soon. 'You must first be a Prince before you can be King'

I didn't think that was an insult. Hell William Hung made millions after auditioning for American Idol. My only point was that a lot of people on this site like to bash artists for doing what they enjoy doing, and that's making music. I for one would not put someone down for doing what they have dreamed of doing. If they're making a living doing what they enjoy, more power to them. If you don't like their music, that's your opinion. Don't buy their music. But to bash them and say they suck, they're crap, they od'd at a Klan rally etc... is just wrong in my opinion. No offense, but if you really feel this way, then perhaps you shouldn't visit this forum anymore.Everyone here likes to give their opinion, including their opinions on artists that they don't like. You really shouldn't take things so personally,we're really just having fun here.Obviously,an artist like Kid Rock is a lightning rod for criticism anyway. To tell you the truth,I actually like it when people criticize artists that I like.It makes for a lively discussion. How boring would this forum be if we all agreed on everything all of the time? But if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Instead of attacking your fellow Orgers for having an opinion or wrongly assuming that everyone here is just a "jealous, struggling musician",why not spend your time explaining why you think Kid Rock is great? Give us some insight into why you think his music is amazing, and why you think he's a great performer.
