I bought their CD when "KEy to Grammercy Park" came out (love that song!) but I only like 1 or 2 other songs on it. I ended up selling it on eBay. Elijah Blue has a very interesting voice but I couldn't really get into the overall sound.

I don't like that edition of 'Commencement'. The tracklist on the original release was much better.

Was Fred Durst behind that screw-up? I still don't understand the connection - that was a deathwish for Deadsy when they worked with him.

Fred Durst in his entire life would never be cool enough to record with Deadsy. I think you mean Jonathan Davis. The original 'Commencement' CD was shelved for so long by Sire Records, that when Jonathan Davis hooked them up with Dreamworks, he recorded "Key To Gramercy Park" with them to give them a more radio-friendly single. The band recorded a few other new tracks for the rerelease and removed some other ones--like their cover of "Fox On The Run" was replaced with "Tom Sawyer" (which I really can't stand). The original 'Commencement' tracklist flowed better I think and wasn't as long.

And now the band as been similarly dropped by Dreamworks. Who would have thought it would be so hard to market new wave-doom-metal?
