My coworkers have a bet going that Sade was once wanted for a crime she committed in JAMaica. We're searching the 'net and can't find anything. I told them I'd have my fellow orgers (the experts) settle the bet. Anyone know? DId I miss something in the song "Is it a Crime?"

I did hear something about it not too long ago. I don't know whatever became of it though...

I heard she led police on wild goose chase drunk driving...I don't know what the actual story is but this was the hearsay...

In 1997 the singer was arrested in Jamaica following a traffic dispute with local police and fled the country, threatened with arrest if she ever returns.

sade was speeding? what was she doing, 30mph?

She was speeding...no high speed chase or anything. They pulled her over for speeding and carrying Marijuana...shocker. Not sure if she was arrested, but it made the AP wires at the time.

Is she Sade offically a solo act? I hear that Sony would only sign her as a solo artist, but she shares money evenly with the other guys. Must be why she gets nominated in the best female artist category at award shows

nahhh..Sade is a band....however, the record label screws up from time to time and will accidently put her under consideration as a solo artist....

and sometimes the stupid award shows do it by mistake..
