mj's ultimate

I recently wasgiven copies of The Ultimate Collection by MJ. I either had forgotten or chose to ignore how talented this man is. I waslistening the other night and was blown away by his vocals on several songs. It is very clear to me that this man deserves more respect as an artist. I will ,however, have to pick up a couple of cd's like Thriller and Bad for original versions of some songs. Overall, great collection.

MJ was an incredible talent.

Absolutely incredible.

Which makes the turn of events lately all the more aweful.
I believe he's guilty and no matter how talented he is, I can't look past it--it will add a sour taste to everything I hear from him.

His vocal skills blow away Prince's, if his talent for picking material doesn't.

News Flash! I thought it was universally confirmed in 1969 that Michael Jackson was the talented prodigy super mega genius of the universe.

I love the part in "Shake A Body" where U can hear one of the Jacksons say, "I can't wait for the Bee-Gees 2 hear this shit!" falloff

Oh my god did u hear that version of "PYT"? omg SO SO much different and hauntingly fresh and funky...that was out cold dancing jig
MJ is only recieving criticism because of the allegations, other than that Mike is and always will be the most respected artist of our time. Who else in the industry have been making hits since they were 10 years old and still remain a icon to this day? So much that even Britney, Usher and Justin have to timberfake him half 2 death?

I had the glove, I always loved Michael and each album was sooo good...then I discovered Prince....

Prince is the Rolling Stones, Michael is the Beatles..

Give me that raw, sexy rock and roll over the holding hands rock anyday!

Check out Mick Jagger on state of shock. I Always thought Freddie Mercury did a better job (the Demo version). Best Joints are 'in the Back' The demo's to We Are The World and P.Y.T. (yep so amazingly different to the original. its fantastic). Also theres the more chart friendly version of 'you cant win' from the wiz.

No one like "fall again" then?

I like the fact it is unfinished. Thats what I liked about the even more gorgeous unreleased track "for all time".

My favorite is 'In The Back' cause all it is, is emotion. There arnt even proper lyrics to it in aeach verse. He Just says tha ta thutha thu. Maybe its because his vocal is stil the demo form but its just so much more pleasing to listen to.

err yes.....Michael's voice may not be as impressive as when he was a kid (nobody can top that shit, though Tevin Campbell came close) but his vocal techniques (how he works in the studio) is superb.

Prince is great and all, Michael has a gorgeous falcetto though. prince is just average falcetto.

Oh sorry, I apaologize. I'm surprised u took it so well. biggrin

Michael does have a falsetto though. "butterflies" is falsetto.

It is a shame he rarely uses it as it is quite unique I think.

i'm with u now, sorry agian about before.

I see Threats point. Michael sings in a weird deep voice on this cut. It is quite odd at first, but I find it suits the song very well. It is done in the agreesive Speed demon tough verse manner, BUT this vocal delivery is deeper. It is quite a difference.....

such a shame that the trial hasn't even begun nor has any evidence been officially released and you've already got him convicted. i can only hope those who are accepted for jury duty are a little more just.
