LOL...I remember I used to watch his video "Wishing Well" and fantazie it was really Prince. When he was wearing those dark shades he looked EXACTLY like Prince. Does anyone remember that song "Sign your name?" That actually is one of my favorite songs of all time. biggrin

Therein lies the difference when comparing other artists to Prince.

I still think they bear a big resemblence.

I saw him on uk channel late at night about religion. Man sure is religious ain't he? He went on about dreaming or something? I like a few of his songs.

I saw him on TV a short while back in the UK. Christ, he was lucking old. Far older looking than Prince. Time hasn't been kind to TTD.

You gotta wonder about the substances he's been ingesting.

The new stuff is good, but I think the recordings sound like demos. Maybe it's the drums. But the song quality and singing is good.

One of the new songs has a guitar part like All I Need From You (Father's Song whatever it's called) I forget the title, but it's track 8 or 9.

Not that it's very important, but when I saw Sananda the last time a year and 1/2 ago he was looking quite young, so judging from some of the recent photos I've seen from Prince he looks younger than Prince does (he is 4 years younger than Prince is btw)

Yeah I love TTD. I have all of his releases. VERY underrated talent, it just pains me that people like this fall thru the cracks. Symphony Or Damn is one of my favorite albums thumbs up!

I saw him at the Warner Theater in Washington D.C. a long time ago. He almost got booed off the stage because he just was so lame. Does anyone remember that time in his life? Maybe he was supposed to be the next big thing or something and that is why he went all religious. I don't know.

Where are all the TTD supporters around here? The org used to be crawling with them.

Symphony or Damn & Wildcard are brilliant albums. Fish/Flesh & Vibrator are almost as good.

i love ttd in a very different way from prince.sometimes i see prince ttd and the late robert pilatus as one and the same.prine, ttd and rob form the holy trinity of my teens.but today prince just happens to be the only captain of my fantasy and soul.
ttd without a doubt is a great guy-the only guy alive that makes prince quake!

Sananda's albums a great and get better with every new release...
Wildcard and Vibrator are my favorites. Haven't heard his latest releases yet.

You can't compare him with Prince I think, they are both very different. Sananda has gone "underground" an P still makes hits.

I'm a major Prince fan but I think Sananda is in some ways better than P; songwriting (lyrics), how to connect with fans thru the internet etc etc. Most of the time I prefer Sananda's cd's above those of Prince...

He fills the gap that Prince left by releasing crappy albums....

Sananda is a true artist, through and through. I understand the Prince comparison, since its obvious that they share many influences (James Brown, Sly, Jimi, Zepplin), but his music is very distinct. Both are brilliant, no doubt about it.

I couln't give a crap that Sananda isn't making hits these days, but I do wish he got more recognition from the critical community. As Chris Rock once said "He's my favorite artist....as talented as Prince, but as popular as Andre Cymone. Everytime I play his stuff for friends, they dig it until I tell them who it is. Then, they look at me like I replaced their coffee with Folger's".

Co-sign nod. Sananda is such an underrated artist, it is a shame, but after all the most important thing to me is that he is still making brilliant music worship worship

That is the quote of the day. I agree up until the "as talented" part. His music is great, but looking at the bodies of work and skill sets objectively, I can't say that Sananda is on par with the lil'fella.

see --- Terrence represents ... to me ... what Prince would be if he "filtered" or "edited" some of his vast music down ...

instead of puttin out 3 discs ... put out one killer CD ...

in that way - i really like Sananda/TTD... the prob is ... when u look at from 1987 ... til NOW ... hell ... the guy musta been gettin alot of gals ! (keepin himself bizzy ! cool

i saw Sananda 1-yr +/- ago ... and i would spend the money in a second if he still was touring ... his voice is like a orchestra in my opinion ... so much range and amazing ! I would rather pay 35.00 or whatever to see him in a small club ... rather than see ANYONE ... in the meadowlands or such ! wink
