Diff'rent strokes, but, which one is Melanie -- the Britney-spears looking girl with the straight, shoulder-length hair -- kind of young-looking or that one in the photo above with the curly blonde-colored hair?

And ARE YOU FROM L.A.? Because you just used some L.A. slang talking about "the business"! LMAO!!

Yes, I'm from L.A. Melanie is in the photo too...

Errr, Melanie is decent. I mean, she does have that appeal, but overall Aminah was more kinetic. Her energy could be felt across the screen. I felt that Melanie was rather pedestrian with her movements whereas Aminah brought it to you and killed it.

But, Melanie did WORK that Super Bowl Half Time show! I'll give her that.

I disagree. Those outfits were THE BUSINESS. I'm getting some shoes like Janet's as soon as I run across a pair. I need some more dancing shoes.

she used to only have fashion issues when on tour....but this video is the first ive seen with her looking horrid..

i excused that half-a-jacket beast she wore during "all for you" but those pants have no reason being on a million dollar baby like janet..she is trying to hard..

and like bjork sings, "your trying to hard, undo"...

to look hip and young....

the best look janet sported this year was that outfit she wore to her brother's court appearance...it was age appropriate and classy..

that superbowl outfit? horrid...

the outfit for her (and her dancers) in this video? horrid...its trying to hard to be edge.....if you put zombie make-up on them, maybe then it would work...as a parody or something.. wink

Oh JanFan.

Poor, misguided JanFan.

Everyone knows the irresistible keyboard hook of Usher's "Yeah" solidifies it as Song Of The Year. Number 2 HAS to be Ciara's "Goodies", making Janet's "All Night" a strong number three, depending on how strongly you feel about "Why" by Jadakis and "Drop It Like It's Hot" by Snoop. I like "All Night" more, so that's number three in my book.

Sweetheart, wash your mouth.

#1: Don't tell me what to like or dislike.

#2: Don't try to pass a judgment on me and my musical taste. I take that personal and highly offensive. If you're feeling another song or artist more than my selection then by all means, "Do you."

Since when in this thread did I say that Janet's AN(DS) was the selection of everybody on the f**king Org? It's MY personal selection. You're entitled to have your own ear for taste, BUT DO NOT COME FOR MINE.

AN(DS) is the SONG OF THE YEAR. If you feel like another artist is deserving of that title go right ahead and initiate your own thread. No one's stopping you.

Everyone? Who is "everyone"? Usher's "Yeah!" sucked ass, one of those number ones where you don't understand why the FUCK it went to number one in the first place. And Ciara's "Goodies" might have been great had it not been Petey Pablo feat. Ciara (she gets what, 1 minute of the song to be her sexy self? I don't think so!).

ClearChannel took that Ursher "Yeah!" bulls**t to #1. Radio is not controlled by the people, it's controlled by corporations. YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT. ClearChannel and Radio One made Flusher's song the success it was. If someone is subjected to a particular song 24/7 and it's pounded into their skulls by national radio of course it's going to be a de jure hit! Whoever's running around calling "Yeah!" song of the year are the same tossers buying Ashanti, Destiny's Child and B2K records. Yet, I'M THE ONE WHO'S "POOR" and "MISGUIDED"?

F**k off.

Edit:

Wait a minute... all of this is soaking in. You dissed my selection, YET, YOU'RE UP HERE PRAISING "DROP IT LIKE IT'S HOT" by Snoop Doggy "FAKE A** CRAB, STUDIO GANGBANGER" Dogg? THAT OL' FLY-BY-NIGHT, FLAVOR-OF-THE-F**KING-MONTH A** SH*T??!!? THAT SH*T WILL BE A MEMORY BY MARCH. And Pharrell's Jiminy Cricket-lookin' a** hasn't been s**t since "In Search Of" wayyy back in 2002 (that fool uses the same by-the-numbers drum patterns in almost every track)... and Jadakiss?!?! WTF?! That song sounded like pure shite. F**K BOTH OF THOSE FAKE A**, UNINTELLIGENT, SH*T-FOR-BRAINS RAPPERS. Given all of this, YOU'VE GOT HELLAFIED NERVE CALLING ME "MISGUIDED"?! ME??! WHAT THE F**KKK?

YOU'RE A CORNBALL.

I'd like to blame ClearChannel on the success of Yeah! and the album as a whole, but I fear I cannot. Lots and lots of people bought that damn album, and I cannot tell you how often I heard that "song" (there's usually music in a song, but I digress) bumpin' from cars this past spring and summer.

ClearChannel may put the songs at the top of the radio charts, but it doesn't put a gun to people's heads and walk them down to the record store to put the albums at number one.

yes, those artists get exposure because of over-saturation on the airwaves, but we weren't bitching about it when Janet, Prince, Madonna, MJ, etc. were getting the same treatment in the 80's.
