James Brown No #1 Pop Hits ?

James Brown's career has lasted nearly 50 years (49) and ou of those 50 years, he has never had a number 1 Pop Hit. He has had 17 number 1 R&B Hits but the closest he has come on the Pop side was "I Got You (I Feel Good)" in 1966. Can yall believe that.

Since I study the R&B charts pretty frequently, I DID know that. It's not too shocking, I suppose. There are a lot of people who had great success on the R&B chart, with varying degrees of success on Top 40 radio.

Yeah, hits like "Papas's Got A Brnd New Bag" #5, "It's A Mans, Mans, Mans World" #6, "Cold Sweat" #7, "I Got The Feelin" #8 and "Hot Pant" #11 Should have topped the charts in my opinion.
