the nextel thing, definitely. i can dismiss the usher stuff. cellphone/walkie talkie abusers are far more intrusive.

BOTH! Oh g*d, I'm tired of seeing these high school-aged rugrats in L.A. "chirping" (that's what they call it out here) each other to death on their walkie-talkies in the mall. You're NOT cute! Coincidentially, these same people are Ursher record buyers. mad

i've never been able to understand why high school kids (or college students for that matter) are so god damn important that they need a cellphone or walkie-talkie so that people can get ahold of them at any time or place.

but then, i've never understood why people would want a cellphone anyway. it's bad enough that people know how to reach me at home on a landline. i can only imagine the mood i'd constantly be in if people could constantly get ahold of me pissed

co-sign. I hate it when I get telephone calls. Strange because I talk on the
phone all day long for work but to get private calls just fucking irritates
me

biggrin

I finally caved in and bought a cellphone about a year ago but I've only
used it about 6 times in that year. It's always switched off and most of
the time I don't even know where the hell I left it.

It's just good to have it with you when you're going somewhere in your car
on your own, just in case you get a flat tire or are stranded or something.
But in all likelyhood, I'll have left it in a draw at home the one time I
might actually need it as I'm being chased by an axe-murderer in the dead
of night.

co-sign. that is the purpose of a cell phone and not a megaphone. I dont want to hear about your trip to the clinic because your baby's daddy may have given you something.

Chirpin, if only for that "Straight Chirpin" billboard with the guy making that obnoxious face that I had to look at everywhere I went.

But Usher, too...man the world is an annoying place!

The fascination with the cell phone is unbearable. There are those who do nothing but talk on their phone all day long. about 5-10 years ago, no one needed a cell phone, now people seem to depend on it for their life. Guess that's the world of technology.

I don't have one or need one, it's just another bill i don't need and if any people need to get in touch with me, i have a home phone and an answering machine.

THough apparently 10 years down the road, everyone will have a cell phone and all landlines will be a thing of the past. Everything will be personalized. Sigh....

Oh and i find Usher much more annoying mad

Apparently ABO thinks people who say Usher is a great musician are more annoying than people who talk on Nextel Walkie-Talkies. Thus we can conclude that ABO completely misunderstood the question, considering his Usher obsession.

Why does Britney always expose her tits? Record sales would go down otherwise.

Nextel Walkie-Talkies are far more annoying to me. Believe it or not, I can avoid Usher's music and likeness if I choose. That incessant chirping gets on my last nerves. These high-school twits need to understand that having a cell phone doesn't make you important or special -- hell, everybody who wants one has one.

On another topic mentioned here, I hardly spend all day on my cell phone, but I could not live without it. When my brother and I moved into an apartment last year, we did not even bother activating the landline -- and we never missed it. I haven't had a landline in my name for more than three years -- and my phone bills have never been lower.

Don't use your cellphone too much though. A scientific study revealed that electromagnetic fields that are typical for mobile phones produces a significant increase in single and double strand DNA breaks in human cells, and the cells can't always repair the damage, leading to mutations. And maybe cancer. Nice cheerful news isn't it.

On topic, I heard a whole conversation this girl was having at work about how she smashed the windows of this girl who I assume was the other woman. She went on and on like she wanted anyone within earshot to hear of her little Jerry Springer encounter. It involved her hiding out at a friends, the police, and how her mom tipped them off by her car which incidentally wasn't registered to her. All that and I don't even know this childs name.

I think it's a tie too. I also think that in a few years, both will be phased out of existance (especialy if Usher is serious at all about being an actor...good luck with that).
