Life is truely a BITCH sad

I just finished watching the DVD set last night and I stumbled on the "3 Ladies Remembering" featurette,,,

Boy, I was this close [] from crying. Those women got really old, Marla's big flashy eyes vanished without a trace,,,,Jacke'ee on the other hands still looks beautiful!

I saw Marla Gibbs on some sitcom and yes, she's gotten old. Nice to know there are some special features on that set. Considering it's never on TV, it might just be worth getting.

227 comes on everyday on TV One at 10am and 5pm.

The network will be a year old this JAnuary. It's the mature answer to BET. THey have lifestyle shows like: "B. Smith with Style," even though I can't cook I still like watching it. And Living It Up WIth Patti LAbelle. Yep, Patti has her own show that goes around the country, meeting people and cooking and what not. It's based in Philly.

You have Soul Cinema. That shows old black movies-- and I mean that can go back to the 40's. I was watching movives with Moms Mabbly and Lena Horne.

"Black Forum" and "Legacy" is on there.. (what else).. "Access One"--- the Access Hollywood spin off that spotlights black hollywood --hosted by Shawn Robinson.

there's a lot of shows for an upstart network

Right now TV One is on Comcast exclusively (I beleive). Hopefully in 2005, it will expand to more cable companies.

It's owned by Cathy Hughes, who's owns the Radio One stations.

I know that's right. It's bad in 20 something years BET didn't move forward. I hope TV One keeps moving ahead.
