She got some Gladys Knight in her pipes but its obevious that the main influence is Ms.Mahalia Jackson
I'm glad she's getting her props nowadays since it only took her to sing some sappy pop-corny theme for some chickenheaded show like Sex & City so folks could finally notice her presence  | |

that remake on "Romeo & Juliet" soundtrack was almost better than the original, whomever re-made that tune turned it out in2 a gay club anthem. I think it was Kym Mazelle or something like that. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
