List for us the best artist or band who get no radio airplay. You newer orgers might have a problem with this one.

I can't list any because since they don't get any airplay, I don't know they exist. That's the problem.

Hey Vainandy, this is what you might want to do; read reviews in magazine articles by well respected artist [GuitarPlayer, Downbeat, RollingStone ect],when at a hip club and the dj just played a funky track you never heard of ask the dj who was that, go out and support local unsigned artist and buy their CD's. The radio I would guess only airs less than 1% of all recorded music. That means that there is literally tons of unaired music out there. Take me for an example, if I were to list my all time favorite tunes, I would gather that only 5% of that list I have ever heard on the radio.

To illustrate how talented some of the "un-heard of" artists are out there, there use to be a contest held in New York searching for the baddest guitar players around, including those guitar players who have current major record label deals, the winner of that contest would have their recording released and a spotlight article in "Guitar Player" magazine. Word got out about this guitarist from NY who was so good that the "big names" would not even enter the contest for fear of losing out to a "nobody". That guitarist was "Larry Mitchell" who won that contest for many years. And still to this day Larry is considered a "no-name" artist. How many orgers have heard of Larry Mitchell?

I had the pleasure of meeting Meshell many years ago at a place here in Philly called "The Painted Bride", she performed at a Black Rock Coalition event, I was floored at how massive her sound was coming from such a small women. Made a believer out of me, for sure!
