Surely you jest. I'll agree that music from that period in time, in general, wasn't all that memorable. But Batman and Graffiti Bridge as examples of great music from that same period? Come on. I like them both, but they weren't highlights.

I don't see any mention of Corona or Corina. Get this...Corina had a new single out in Feb, 2004 unless it's a different one or does this girl age in reverse! Too bad her stuff just isn't available.

I remember "Temptation" from Corina...loved that song.
I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back.
I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there.
I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish.
And I am

Corona had a hit with "Baby Baby," but that in '95. I don't consider that early '90s, it's mid-'90s in my book.

Corina, on the other hand, had a great song called "Summertime, Summertime," but that was in 1997.

Some songs I liked.....

6.Adeva "I thank you"

She had a good cut called Too Many Fish that was also a lot of fun. Frankie Knuckles worked it out!

Corina's biggest hit was 1991's "Temptation" (although I loved "Summertime. Summertime", which came and went years later).

For Corona, I was thinking "Rythmn Of the Night" was the early ninties....I was wrong, because it was also 1995 (possibly '94?).

OMG, freestyle was a whole different story! I was really into that for awhile too, but more in the mid-80s. By 1990, I felt the overall quality of the genre had taken a big nosedive. Some exceptions were "Bad Of The Heart" by George Lamond and "Together Forever" and "A Day In The Life (Without You)" both by Lisette Melendez. My favorite Corina single was "Give Me Back My Heart" in 1989.

Dance music in the late 80s/early 90s wasn’t all about house music. I was really into alternative club music during that period and made several comps divided by year:

(big long list of music)

Release that as a boxed set and I could see little reason 2 listen 2 anything else!
headbang

I have all these tracks on vinyl and unfortunately I don't own the hardware/software necessary to convert them to mp3s. sad Right now I remain satisfied listening to them on old-school cassettes.
