The Shawshank Redemp-I mean, The Polyphonic Spree

I saw this group on some awards show earlier this year and was mesmerized...just by the costumes and how seriously they took themselves. I went to their website and listened to some of there songs. I am assuming I have to see one of their shows to fully understand it. They've been around for 5 years! I didn't know that. Anybody heard of them or like them?

The first album was my favourite of 2001/2002. I have only just got the second one and its taking time to grow.

I saw them at Glastonbury, and was like "WTF?" and then I couldn't get enough of them!

They were the opening act for David Bowie this year.
I had no idea who they were when they came out.
I thought it was a joke.
IMO they were terrible.
All their songs sounded the same.
And yet they have fans who came only to see them
& left before Bowie came on.

is this that group that has 100 bandmembers or something and they have this cult-like attitude about their "togetherness"?
