Who's Afraid of The Art of Noise I know you 80's buffs remember some of these songs. I've had the pink Best of cover for years, and it wasn't only till recently that I found out about the blue cover, which I just got in the mail. The difference is that the blue version contains longer version of the songs and the addition of their well known song
Moments in Love - which is played on R&B oldies and smooth jazz stations at night. Beatbox (Diversion One) - I remember hearing it on the radio back then on probably on dance or R&B stations. Kiss feat. Tom Jones - Ok, no comment on that one. Paranoimia feat. Max Headroom - that was really popular especially when the show was on tv. Dragnet'88 - Featured in the motion picture starring Tom Hanks and Dan Aykroyd Peter Gunn - if you are familiar with the tv show from the 60's, then it was Something Always Happens - "The Art of Noise is weird, the Art of Noise is paranoid. This maybe true." A 2.28 oddity. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

I loved that blue cover best off album back in the early 90's when I first
found out about it. Don't know if that's when it was released or not since I don't know much about TAON apart from this collection. But I played that album completely to death. And I'm sure that I'll get it again some time since my initial copy got lost in the late 90's and I had to make do with a tape until now. Beatbox (Diversion One) is still one of my fav songs. "Yeah? Oh no Oh no I don't believe it...pababapapom pababapapom..." and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

/\/\/\/\ I was doing a little "Close (To The Edit)" there..
I think the masterpiece has got to be the "Moments In Love" suite, including "Love" and "(Three Fingers Of) Love".

As a lad, I was all about "Peter Gunn" and "Paranoimia" (one of my favorite videos with Max Headroom)
po-po-poetry... that'll work.

In 1998, I remember seeing Usher open his performance with a dance sequence set to Art Of Noise's "Robinson Crusoe"

I loved their video of the little girl who took
a chainsaw to her piano. You don't see videos like that anymore. these days the little girls are all wigglin their ass on R Kelly's face and that's about it. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I don't think they have a box set, yet. It could be in the works. I'm only aware of the blue and pink cover Best of releases. I ordered mine through Amazon for less than $6 used. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

i love the art of noise's ambient album - it's some really really good stuff with sounds that can either suck you right in, or exist comfortably in the background.

That video with the dwarf taking a chainsaw to the piano used to scare me! (I was 4)
Love the song though.. pretty sure that was for "Close (To The Edit)" but I haven't seen the video in ages.
