shocking music pair ups!!!!

Bob Dylan and Michael Bolton worte a song together back in 1991!!! On a song called "steel bars"

Lyrics:-

In the night I hear you speak
Turn around, you're in my sleep
Feel your hands inside your soul
You're holding on and won't let go

I've tried running but there's no escape
Can't bend them, and (I know) I just can't break these...

Steel bars, wrapped all around me
I've been your prisoner since the day you found me
I'm bound forever, till the end of time
Steel bars wrapped around this heart of mine

Trying hard to recognize
See the face behind the eyes
Feel your haunting ways like chains
'Round my heart they still remain

I'm still running, but there's nowhere to hide
My love for you has got me locked up inside these...

Steel bars, wrapped all around me
I've been your prisoner since the day you found me
I'm bound forever, till the end of time
Steel bars wrapped around this heart of mine

And with every step I take
Every desperate move I make
It's clear to me
What can all my living mean
When time itself is so obscene
When time itself don't mean a thing
I'm still loving you

Steel bars, wrapped all around me
I've been your prisoner since the day you found me
I'm bound forever, till the end of time
Steel bars wrapped around this heart of mine

How about Elton John with Axl Rose, on the tribute to Freddie Mercury back in 1992??

Or Sting...letting P. daddy..diddy screwing up his Roxanne???
Although Sting seems to have a trademark on screwing up old songs with other so called artists (Craig David, Pato Banton, etc etc...)
the beautiful ones, you always seem to loose

I was shocked when I saw Whitney & Mariah collaborate on The Prince of Egypt soundtrack...
I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back.
I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there.
I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish.
And I am

No. Bob only did it for the money and said so. It was around the time he made the indifferent "Under A Red Sky" album.

Good one! That one shocked the heck outta me too!

Prince and Tony. Just kidding.

Tony Bennett and kd lang
U2 and Johnny Cash (I know they are big fans of country music and American musical icons, still, it struck me as odd at the time)

Also, why anyone would invite R Kelly, Ashanti, or Usher to make 'guest appearances' on a song is beyond me. I liked it MUCH better when album covers didn't read something like "featuing Lil' John, Ludacris, Ja Rule... etc." after the title of every flippin' song.

I read Bob wanted to be commercial again and so phoned Michael up. He liked the session so much he asked him back.....so I read!

This has gotta win! The most hated artist ever recording with possibaly the greatest artist ever.....talk about opposites!

"i'll take 2 steps forward
I'll take 2 steps back,

we come together 'cause Mike and Bob attract and u know it!"

I was surpirsed by the Whitney/Mariah duet too. Before they collaborated,I don't think they really cared for each other.I remember a 1993 article on Mariah Carey, and they asked her about Whitney's movie 'The Bodyguard'.Mariah basically laughed, and then quickly tried to change the subject.
