My favorite Christmas album is The Whipers' 1979 'Happy Holidays To You'.

Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

yep, it's great. very realxed and jazzy. tons of fantastic studio musicians included.. and the best version of "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer" I've heard so far

Excellent choices. I'd go with:

The Temps' "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer"

and

Stevie Wonder's "What Christmas Means to Me"

No dispute here . . .

if u want "Oooooold School" with some swing, try:

Ella Fitzgerald, "Sleigh Ride"

Duke Ellington, "Jingle Bells"

or if you want "Oooooold School" sublime, try:

John Coltrane, "Greensleeves" (the bassline of which was jacked by Koop for "We've Only Just Begun")

Miles Davis, "Merry Xmas (To Whom It May Concern)"
