What if......John Lennon would of survived???

I know people don't like what if, with the 24th anniversary of John Lennon's passing last week, I could help but wonder what could of been. Would the Beatles have gotten back together, would he tour again, how much more music would he of given us??

What do you think could of happen if John lived??

His death was so senseless and the world lost a great man.God bless you John.

This may be a very cold and unpopular thing to say, but from an artistic standpoint his death may have been the best thing to happen to him. Like Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain and many others who died young, Lennon never really had a horrible phase, musically speaking. He never had a chance to make really bad music. As a result, he is held in very high esteem. If he had lived, and if he had recorded less than stellar material, I think his legacy would be different. I think it's almost a certainty that as he aged the quality of his music would have steadily declined. It happens to just about everyone.

Would the Beatles have reunited? Who can say? To me it seems pretty unlikely. I don't think any of them would like to be put in that situation. Talk about high expectations!

I think so too. I wasn't ever into Lennon or The Beatles growing up but in the last few years, I have really been liking their late 1960s stuff and even bought "The White Album". I'm definately going to buy more. From the documentaries I have seen, it seems to me that John Lennon was not only a great artist but a wonderful man as well.
Andy is a four letter word.

Let's just say Bono wouldn't be the musical savior of the earth.

Not to be a downer, but he might have died another senseless way later on.

I recall hearing that in his last days, Lennon was enamored with disco ..so possibly he would've ended up doing some dance music--wonder if he might've hooked up with Nile Rodgers and done something?
