Anyone Watch The New George Michael Special Last Night?

What did you think?
I thought it was the most insightful programme on him yet, even if it did seem like a bit of an advert for the new album.

Is the guy simply a manic depressive or what? I though the new interview with him and Andrew Ridgley was fantastic.

I only saw some of it.....true of what Boy George said, that he has a huge ego and no sense of humour really!

Plus all his ballads sounds the same from after "listen without....."

Anyway, he does have a huge ego

But the "shoot the dog" bit was interesting.....I now remember him defending himself on CNN..it was sooo ridiculous! I liked the video.....naive but he dared to do it!

I love "sexual freak" ("freek").....I wish he would do high tec shit like that track again, but instead we get lame watered down mid tempo commcercial dance tracks.....I do really love his first 2 solo's though and his voice sounds so damn good too (because he did not tour his voice has not got worse with time)

I just want george to do US funky pop again like "Monkey" and "i want ur sex".....I misss that George!

I like him but I find him infuriating.

I can't remember the exact wording, but he said something like: "Well, gay men go cruising in public bathrooms - it's what they do".

I think he's fooling himself and his "honesty" is actually disingenuous.

His ballads all sound like varations of "Visions" from Stevie Wonder's 'Innervisions' album. In fact his whole singing style sounds like that one song.

I do like "Jesus To A Child" though.

lol Funny, I've always thought of him as a solo Bee Gee. Most of his ballads sound like How Deep Is Your Love and most of his uptempo tracks sound like Jive Talkin'.

Great artist, tho'. smile

He released a cover of 'Jive Talking' under the pseudonym Boogie Box High in 1987.
