U2 tickets anyone know when they are going to on sale?

apparently you can now become a member on the website www.u2.com and you'll get preference for tickets...it's expensive but it will be worth it if you're a big fan as demand on this tour is going to be HUGE especially down here in Australia

tickets for the general public go on sale in January. U2.com members will be able to order a week earlier. you can only use your membership to buy tickets once: for indoor venues, a limit of 2 tickets; for outdoor venues, a limit of 4. Anyone know how to join the new U2 fanclub if you weren't already a Propaganda member? As far as I can see, the website is still the Vertigo website, and hasn't been relaunched for the new CD; there's no mention of the membership on it at all. I'm the first mammal to wear pants. | |

really? you can ony buy tickets once for the whole tour or once per show? hmmm...not worth me joining if its just once for the whole tour since i will be going to at least 2 chicago shows, at least one miami show, and at least one of either the new york shows or philly shows. thanks for the news, though! | |

from atu2.com: the ID number on your U2.com membership card can only be used once to purchase concert tickets well, i suppose its fair and all but it kinda sucks, lol. i was hoping to get member tix to ANY of the shows i wanted to travel to. there's no point in travelling around for crap seats. i may join just to get good seats to the opening night but then i'm out of luck for the chicago shows. ebay may be the way to go for this one. hey, for once, prince's benefits beat someone else's!  | |

I'm still considering going. i have a friend in miami, so she can buy the two tickets there and still leave me with the option to buy in chicago. purplegypsy lives in new york so i've got that option (assuming she would allow me to buy her 2nd ticket from her). my brother can get the tickets to philly. that has me covered...but only if all of these folks join... in the worst case scenario, there's always ebay. and you really should get down to miami! | |

eh, I've flown many times to see shows with crap seats.
If I can find a way to scrape the money together for miami, I'll just have to deal with whatever seats I can get online, the old fashioned way...And assuming they play Mpls, I'll wanna go to the show with a boatload o' people, so I guess the member dealy won't work out for me. thanks for the info tho! | |
