I still like one song by him... Kenny's rendition of "Lady" written and produced by Lionel Richie.

The three piece meal with potatoes and country gravy. Comes with your choice of soda or lemonade. Enjoy.

I have no idea about whole albums by Kenny. But, I grew up on his music and have a special place in my heart for him. I'd recommend just picking up a greatest hits CD and goin from there.

giggle I actually saw Kenny in concert a few years ago. I have to say he's a great entertainer giggle

When dealing with Kenny's music, it's a gamble.

(Sorry).

ditto.

and that pic from the MadTV parodies of him.... i've never really gotten their take on Kenny Rogers. a successful parody should contain a hint of truth in it, so that the more insane characteristics are a logical step from that. their skits have absolutely no resemblance to Kenny Rogers.

That's the best. It's just so absurd!

On the topic of Kenny Rodgers, I kind of dig some of his eighties stuff but not enough to invest in a double CD or anything. Not anytime soon.

That's what I thought at first when looking at the skits. "Who is this anything like Kenny Rodgers...Are there some terrible rumours about him being a drunken slob or something?" and then I just stopped thinking and laughed my ass off! I think Kenny was probably a good sport about it (the guy who does the "impressionation" is on a different show now) and I think since Kenny Rodgers is sort of beloved by many or just plain ignored, it's a really funny thing to do. It just makes me laugh!

Well you can't possibly miss this little gem:

This was one around the house growing up Christmas time when I was little.

It's still stuck in my head for the most part-I have a love/hate relationship with it.

lol
