MADONNA BEDTIME STORIES *ROUND 2* CLOSED I'm glad that most of us agree that "Don't Stop" was a wasted 4 minutes of the record!!! "Sing la-di-da-di" (urgh!) ok well it's gone!
My next vote goes to: LOVE TRIED TO WELCOME ME. I think it's the weakest of the slower songs... how funny, i was thinking of buying this cd today! i absolutely love "human nature". i think it's one of her best songs and videos ever! how is the rest of the cd? can someone break it down for me? what is the overall vibe? | |

Bedtime stories and Erotica are my favorites. She was over the girl phase by this time. And she was even trying when they came out, which is why they are good. She was on a musical roll and still sorta leading the pack. Bedtime stories, is R&B sounding, and was produced (for the most part) by Baby Face. It's probably the only album, that havs many lush ballads that don't sound cheesy. Erotica, she was getting naked and nasty...this one she's feeling sexy under satin sheets. For me the stand out is the Title track, which is not produced by Baby Face, but by Nellie Hooper, who produced Bjork's Debut album and has practically the same feel/bass line as Bjork's Violently Happy...but a lot smoother. Babyface produced two songs Take a Bow and Forbidden Love. The rest of the album is dominated by Dave Hall, Nellee Hooper and Dallas Austin. Babyface was actually only invovled with two tracks. "Fordidden Love" and "Take A Bow". Other than Madonna herself, not sure if there was a main co-producer. It seems like everyone had 3 or 4 songs (and I think in some cases, two star producers overlapped and where on the same track), so Babyface probably having the least amount of production on the album. | |
