I dug her. I had her Robyn Is Here album. I thought she would have had a little more success here.

I'm not really a fan, the website is pretty though.....

She was good and had a voice. I remember when I was in Italy that she had this werid video out where people where floating around. The album must have never come out here. Too bad they never tried to release her second album here since the first one was rather big and sort of helping hand in bringing teen pop back (for better or worse).

She might be high or something. I also found that in America, there was a budget CD called "Robyn's Best" and apparently it's just an abridged verison of her first CD and includes nothing from the import only albums (of course), which sucks considering it probably wouldn't cost them anything since it's the same label but I guess you gotta sucker the few fans out there into buying this shit budget disc and those imports. For shame!

That looks nothing like the lady I thought this thread was about. There was club song out around '93 called Show Me Love and the artist's name was Robin, at least I thought. She was a Black, heavyset woman. Does anyone know who I am talking about?

From what I see on the net, she released an album called "My Truth" in 1999 (and I was in Italy back then and saw a video for a song that was probably the single "Electric"). The reviews from Amazon are very postive on the album (and from what I remember, the single was good). She has the fate of being big in Europe.

Actually I looked at some single pics and while they weren't as bad as the album cover pic, the girl on them certaintly looked more like this current one than cute you and fun Robyn.

Not only is it her face (eyes, as you pointed out) that makes her look different, it's the hair and more than anything those teeth. What is going on there?

Actually, she looks really thin and frail in the new album cover and seemed to have a sort of healthy figure back in the day. Whatever they did to that photo makes her look kind of scary and old. It's kind of alarming looking. I don't believe I'm going to spend Thanksgiving possibly discussing Robyn's changing face if the weather stays bad! Oh well. It's still fun to talk about.
