fast cars is only on the japanese and australia imports (i think) and the boxed set, which you can buy in most stores.

i got my copy today on the way to work for five bucks! my nirvana box set came with a five dollar gift card when i bought it at beast buy yesterday, so i just used that toward my purchase of the U2 wrecka, which was on sale for 9.99 to begin with. et voila, five buck bono!

i like the album okay - it reminds me of a less-eclectic "achtung baby". it rocks, but there's something a little amorphous about the record...the music isn't quite hooky enough, the lyrics aren't quite sharp enough, but it's good enough to get by and not be crap.

so far, "love and peace or else" is my favorite song on the album...some of the stuff sounds like generic U2 filler to me, but nobody does generic U2 filler like U2, so it's welcome generic U2 filler.

i like it. i've been playing it for the past couple of hours here at work, over and over. it's pleasant to work to. it's not really rocking my world, but i like it. it doesn't suck.
