The surprise U2 show will be filmed tomorrow in Brooklyn I will be out of town but apparently the surprise show starts at 3pm and is being filmed in the DUMBO area of Brooklyn. MTV is filming it. Specific location isn't clear-I think they tell you when you get the tickets. Tickets are available (as of 10:12 pm) right now on www.1iota.com! You have to register but tickets are FREE.
Wish I could go...hope you get yours before they go! [Edited 11/21/04 19:14pm] Let the rain come down...17 days....

DUMBO, huh? very "oh so hip" but also chock full of way cool industrial surroundings for what could be a really hot show. if SNL is any indication, this could be the hot ticket du jour.

They were fantastic on SNL ~ I was a dumb ass and turned down the chance to see them on the elevation tour, I won't make the same mistake this time. ~ Gretch

[Edited 11/22/04 18:25pm] Although a tad heartless, some of the above did make me chuckle! I'm in an extra-generous mood 2nite, so make the most of it! (those that missed SNL etc watch this space...) Thought I'd dust off this 4 ya: I WILL FOLLOW (PHILADELPHIA 04/03/1981 - BOY Tour) http://s12.yousendit.com/...9A678E4F46 If u haven't ever heard this before, u are really in 4 a treat - try not 2 laugh when u hear just HOW young Bono sounds! OUT OF CONTROL (SLANE, IRELAND 01/09/2001 - ELEVATION TOUR) http://s3.yousendit.com/d...9C10AFB1E8 WHERE THE STREETS HAVE NO NAME: (SLANE, IRELAND 01/09/2001 - ELEVATION TOUR) http://s13.yousendit.com/...B8FA9D20F3 WHAT a fuckin' nite this was. This was the last time I saw the boys, and me and some family and friends went and got rip-roaringly drunk, and had an amazing day, one I will never forget. It was made even more special by watching Ireland score a goal on the huge video screens (cue 80,000 people going totally apeshit!) and this song in particular really makes me tingle listening back 2 it now - Bono sang his heart out 2 the heavens. The whole fucking thing was magic, just pure magic. Everybody knew that Bono had buried his father the day before the gig, so everyone was there behind him - our voices soared - his voice soared, and it all carried off in2 a beautiful Irish night sky. Definately celebratory, without a doubt. Man, Im buzzin just thinkin about it! Anyway, enjoy. Roll on march 2005! [Edited 11/22/04 19:11pm]

If you watch the 'U2 Go Home' DVD, Bono dedicates Kite to his dad, and he almost breaks down in the middle of it. The emotion behind his peformance just astounds me, which is why this is my favorite U2 moment ever. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.
