nod exactly... and I mean "better live than on record" as a compliment, because there are certainly many performers that cannot even take the stage, and U2 has real energy in concert.

I can NOT wait for the album and tour!! I'll never forget waiting in freezing cold weather in November of 2001 to be inside of the heart at their Kansas City Elevation show! What did y'all think of the song they played before the ending.....Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own. I've seen the song titles for a few months and based on that title I figured it was a ballad but dayum...WOW!

lucky! Zoo TV looks like it was the best tour from the footage I've seen. Zooropa's my fave album too.

I missed most of it cry and then they performed some MORE after that song, but of course, they cut it off cry those lucky bastards got a little mini concert

Okay, why didn't I tune in? neutral (I was in love with Bono once. smile) I saw the Zoo TV tour at Giants Stadium in '92 and it rocked! Might be time to do a little U2 changing up.

oh man...i didn't even know they were on last night! sigh

their live shows are fantastic! zoo tv, popmart...those shows were so much more than just concerts. and the elevation tour was phenomenal! i went to the opening night in florida and the very last american date at the same venue. we had great floor tickets both nights and were right at the heart. even bono falling off stage the first night didn't make the show any less great. he just climbed back up and didn't miss a note.

i can't wait for 1 march!!!

Anyone have any clips available of the show?

Been playing the album 2 death at work this past week, I LOVE it, particularly 'Miracle Drug' right now. Can't buy it until 2morrow nite, after shop close, and 2 make it worse I gotta work late too pout So I won't be able 2 get home and crank it up as soon as I hoped, but looking 4ward 2 pouring over the Ltd book and DVD set I reserved (looks WELL nice!)

Also...attention fellow fans! Keep your eyes peeled on U2.com over the next few days... Propaganda looks like it's making a comeback as an integrated part of the website for an annual subscription!!!
woot!

Bono on the track 'Miracle Drug':
"We all went to the same school and just as we were leaving, a fellow called Christopher Nolan arrived. He had been deprived of oxygen for two hours when he was born, so he was paraplegic but his mother believed he could understand what was going on and used to teach him at home. Eventually, they discovered a drug that allowed him to move one muscle in his neck, so they attached this unicorn device to his forehead and he learned to type. And out of him came all these poems that he’d been storing up in his head. Then he put out a collection called 'Dam-Burst of Dreams,' which won a load of awards and he went off to university and became a genius—all because of a mother's love and a medical breakthrough..."

THANK GOD I remembered to set my DVR for this. I loved the 2 performances and assumed it was done. When they started "I will follow" I figured the credits would quickly roll, but NO! It kept goin! woot! A truly electric performance eleveated by the glimpses of the SNL cast freakin the fuck out. That was by far one of the best performances I've seen on SNL!

I just heard the song on the radio and I agree. "Vertigo" kind of reminds me of the Pet Shop Boys "Bilingual", mixing some spainish into a pop record (although PSB's "Bilngual" also had latin sounds in it). I could really imagine PSB covering and covering it well.

After NBC stopped broadcasting, the audience members were also treated to 'All Because of You' and another take of 'Vertigo'. Damn those stupid SNL skits that kept us from seeing another performance or two!

BTW, the ballad was 'Sometimes You Can't Make it on Your Own'.
