I haven't heard anything about the "Can't Never Did Nothin'" release date. Anyone know? I've seen the first single "I Don't Think We've Met" listed on the iTunes store, but that's the extent.

I saw Res at the Key Club on Sunset 2 years ago, great live show. She did AC/DC's "Back In Black" as her encore. Great band. Unfortunately, I've never seen Nikka. I was going to see her in 2002 until I found out she was opening for Britney and I passed on that. Same thing with Kelis, she opened for Britney, too -- and I passed on that. Britney stop hijacking my artistes! mad

I've seen both Nikka and Kelis live in small venues here in NY. The Kelis show was memorable because she was wearing a really flimsy tank top and halfway through her first song, she popped out of it and flashed everyone her pierced nipple. I think she wore her denim jacket for the rest of the show.

LOL! What about the music? Did she perform "Perfect Day"? That is one of my fave songs of all time. What year did you see her?

How was Nikka?

Res is incredible. I remember when she first came out, there were some clips of her performing live on her site that were great. I hope she tours for her new album, I would love to see her live.

No, the Kelis show was way back in support of her first album. I had a ticket for another Kelis show in September 2001, but then 9/11 happened and the show got canceled. sad I don't think she's ever headlined a show in NYC since. That can't be right, I must have missed one.

The Nikka Costa show was absolutely wonderful. She really tore it up live. I left the concert very impressed.

Enjoy the shows! I'm not in the area, but I would try to go if I was around. I have each artist's CD, and I am very impressed by them (especially Res).

Ouch. That sucks. I'm still waiting on the rumoured Kelis/Raphael Saadiq co-headlining tour that was being talked up earlier this year. Something tells me that's not gonna happen, but I'm hoping it does.

No. I think it's $10? But I like getting in stuff for free, so I'll see who I can talk to.

Here's the flyer for more info:

Nikka's album has been pushed back to next january i think. My feeling is because Joss Stone sounds just like her & is hitting the market now they don't want there to be competition when Nikka's album hits.
