The JANET *Design of a Decade* SURVIVOR :: WINNER is...

Like a moth to a flame burned by the fire, That's The Way Love Goes was no longer desired. It was kicked out of the competition in the sixteenth and final round of DOAD Survivor.

So now it's time to crown the winner. The people have spoken.
The DESIGN OF A DECADE SURVIVOR as chosen by members of the Org is...

woot! headbang music clapping king RHYTHM NATION queen worship party whistle drool

We are a nation with no geographic boundaries,
bound together through our beliefs.
We are like-minded individuals,
sharing a common vision,
pushing toward a world rid of color-lines.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

HO! HO! HO! HO!

With music by our side
To break the color lines
Let’s work together
To improve our way of life
Join voices in protest
To social injustice
A generation full of courage
Come forth with me

People of the world today
Are we looking for a better way of life
We are a part of the rhythm nation
People of the world unite
Strength in numbers we can get it right
One time
We are a part of the rhythm nation

This is the test
No struggle, no progress (lend)
Lend a hand to help
Your brother do his best
Things are getting worse
We have to make them better

It’s time to give a damn
Let’s work together come on

People of the world today
Are we looking for a better way of life
We are a part of the rhythm nation
People of the world unite
Strength in numbers we can get it right
One time
We are a part of the rhythm nation

Great job, JanFan! Thanks for your hard work. Those are some awesome lyrics, and for that alone the song deserves to be recognized!

The interludes on RN1814 killed me. I loved them all.

TV, Hey Baby, No Acid, Let's Dance, Race, Pledge -- HOT, HOT, HOT!

I love it when Janet hits you over the head with the sociopolitical messages with the first 3 tracks and then she says "get the point, good, let's dance" and kicks in with the dance jam "Miss You Much." WOOO! lol

I used the lines from "Interlude: Livin'...In Complete Darkness" as my senior quote in my HS yearbook.

P.S.: I NEED ANOTHER JANET TOUR TO HAPPEN DESPERATELY!

nod Rhythm Nation and janet. had the only "necessary" interludes on Janet albums, IMO. On other Janet cds, I usually skip them, but on these two albums, they're almost as necessary as the songs themselves.

Off-topica:

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Why couldn't Jam & Lewis produce a track like "Harajuku Girls" for Janet? I was so surprised when I found out J&L produced that song for Gwen. I mean, damn, I feel really cheated stylistically as a Janet fan. They're capable of producing stuff like "Harajuku Girls," yet they give us sh*te like "Warmth" and "Feels So Right"?

With the next Janet record, f*ck it, Jam & Lewis needs to take us back to that Minneapolis funk!! Janet get back on them keyboards! ::wishful thinking::

Madness! mad
