teen idol to respected artist very few have made that transition..its not an easy one..the only ones i can think of off the top of my head are The Beatles & Duran Duran..any others? I can't really think of anyone who has made the transition that hasn't already been mentioned, but there are plenty of teen idols with enough talent to do so. It's all up to the public's reception, I guess. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!" | |

I think Robbie Williams is a very good example!!! I hated Take That, but appreciate his solo work very much!

Alanis Morrisette was a teen "pop" idol in Canada.
Also, Ricky Martin is earning more and more respect. And in acting, Johnny Depp was a "teen idol," so to speak. | |
