Don't you guys remember the lines in the song "Doesn't Really Matter." She said, "doesn't really matter what the eye is seeing 'cause I'm in love with the inner being, doesn't really matter what they believe, what matters to me is you're in love with me." She meant every word of that. That's between her and J.D. She has said in several interviews pre-J.D. that she was looking for a guy who loves her first and foremost, not because she's Janet Jackson. It's not a relationship about "oh, you look good in the tabloid's and media's eyes so I'll pay you some attention." Janet likes a guy who treats her right. I read in Vibe that Janet turned down J.D. several times or didn't go out of her way to pursue him, but J.D. kept pursuing her. This relationship developed over a long period of time. J.D. has been smitten with Janet for years. He always dreamed about dating her and he would tell her that. Obviously, Jermaine is treating her right and he stuck by her through all that bullsh*t this past February. When he stepped down from the Atlanta chapter of the Grammys he showed that he was a rider for Janet. This isn't a lust relationship a la Ben & J.Lo where he only cares about her a** or if the other's career'll get f**ked up if one makes a bad move individually. J.D. didn't give a sh*t about his career when he spoke out against the way the Grammys treated Janet because his baby was in jeopardy and was being unfairly attacked. He truly and sincerely cares for her and appreciates her as a person. I see that love in both of their eyes when they look at each other. The scene at the end of the "I Want You" video when Janet eyes Jermaine and he eyes her back it's like they both finally found what they were looking for: unconditional, real love.
