Also, at the end of the day, Bobby is an okay singer and can dance his ass off. Eminem is a rapper. It takes less talent, for real. Eminem is no lyrical genius. He's not a "great" rapper in my opinion, either. He's good, but no better than someone like Twista. He just chooses subject matter that appeals to the masses. He's sort of the Bart Simpson of rap. I will stick to B.O.N.E. for that thank you very much. Relevant as in, I feel his stories and his pain, and his houmor more than what Twista talks about. If I heard Slim doing some shit with R. Kelly called "So Sexy" with women crawling all over and R. Kelly and him on camera..that would be it for me Straight Jacket Funk Affair

As for women crawling on Eminmen, he has made it clear that he hasn't cleared out his closet as of yet and still is keeping somethings hidden considering the videos that he is making these days. Kelly..please get outta town Eminem's new "Ass Like That" is tight and is different than that bullshit. Even his "Cum On Everybody" from 1999 stands above that. Oh and the Closet thing, that's so played out. get a sense of houmor...and now he is playing with us gay people even more than he already has

The more I listen to this album, the more I believe how talented Eminem is. I feel he has taken rap to a new level. But unfortunately it is a level I don't see most other rappers going to, but that is okay. That's what I like about hip-hop, it can go into so many different directions and still remain true to the game. Whether you like him or not, Eminem will go down in history as one of the best there ever was. I really relate to when he raps about X-Clan and African medallions. I wore one in high school but felt odd because I was white. I wish the second song "Never Enough" was longer. That is my only complaint with this album. "Sissys!"

Feel ME!!?? Hell yeah!!! Never Enough is tight though...the whole CD is..even the throwaway tracks like "My 1st Single" and "1 Shot 2 Shot" have something worth listening to in it. Lastly..the BEATS ARE HOTT! No keyboard ready thugged out South or Midwest beats for Em... never has never will be. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Thank you, Hotlegs. Good point. An excellent song by them, but..what does this have 2 do with Eminem other than he is white? He is a good rap artist, and it is not his fault that most of the dumbass pop rappers (T.I., Lil John, Cash Money, Master P.lease stop playin his records, Nelly, Luda -although he is good at times his albums arent) can touch him. He stand right there with the greats.. Jay Z, Nas, Biggie, 2Pac, Common, Talib, etc... He is a very very very good Lyrical rapper, and his beats provided by Dre of course just help his message get across even better. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I just bought the album. Let me start by saying I'm a really huge Em fan, but this album is definitely his weakest. It starts off really great, but towards the middle it really starts to suck. Also, I said earlier that I liked "Crazy In Love", but I was mistaken; I had it confused with "Love You More", which I really like a lot. The only songs that have really stood out to me are "Like Toy Soldiers" and "My 1st Single".

Man....each time I play this record, I'm feeling a different song. Mockingbird I think will be a hit. Esp. if they bleep the part that says "if that Mockingbird don't sing then I'll break its f-ing neck", at the end of the song. But it did make me laugh out loud. You know how most albums fade after like 4 or 5 songs? Well this one just keeps getting better. Who else could sample a burp and make it work? But I guess if you have no sense of humor and don't appreciate talent, this album isn't for you.

[Edited 11/18/04 19:01pm] Hey I wasnt in2 Eminem either..UNTIL some1 kept tellin me 2 listen 2 "Slim Shady LP" in school. I asked him 2 borrow it finally, and little by little..I was feeling every song! I was cracking up laughing, I was shocked, dumbfounded..and I fell in love with it! Then Marshall Mathers LP came out..that was IT. DAmn that album is good.Hey if ya can't stand good humour in Rap, then I guess Em is not 4 u..just like Pik. said :Final words.. A Good album!! ****1/2, almost excellent, but it kinda gets lost when "Crazy In Love" and 1 Shot 2 Shot comes on, I like Crazy In Love, but it sounds like a leftover that shouldve been on the Bonus Disc.
