Damn, y'all..... disbelief

Look at how old Mike is and look at how old "Mr. Big Girl" is. As much as some of us love Mike, don't y'all think it may be time for him to slow down? He's not 29-30 anymore. no matter how "youthful" he may act, the man is damn near 50. He's given 40+ years of himself. After 40 years of performing/touring, etc, what would you do?

Ghat-dayum, y'all pissin on Mike like he's supposed to release stuff every other day. The man's gettin old. Let him put out whatever he wants to put out, without aiming so much negativity towards him and callin him a lazy bastard, etc. 'Cause he's done his work, far as I'm concerned.

And who the hell said he was goin to jail for sure? Trial starts in January, NOT NOW.

Michael also added that he has been working on new music: “I’ve been working on several albums right now, I’ve been working on music today…I’m in the process of making plans to do some wonderful things that I will be announcing to the fans very, very soon.”

Several albums? hmm

Where and when did he make this comment?

Hey, regarding:Toy Soldiers. I like that track - a little differen't, perhaps even innovative. It reminds me of when Jay Z took the Annie chouros for - Hard Knock Life. BTW, is Eminem saying something about he tried to avoid the beef with Ja Rule in the song. I have 2 find the lyrics somewhere.

Ok, back 2 Mike (sorry guys) I agree, it would be great if he just releases these albums with all of the material he supposedely has in his vault. I thought Invincable was underated and was under promoted - one fucking video? All he needs is one - ass - kicking song. A dance track directed @ the teenie boppers with Nelly or somebody rapping on it.

Lazy? The guy has been working non stop since he was 5. What the f*ck were you doing when you were 5? Mike was staying out all night performing at seedy strip clubs.

His first real break came after the Victory tour in 84. Even then he did the We Are The World Project in 85. Then Captain Eo in 86. Then it was straight in to the Bad album and tour in 87. The tour continued through 88 and into 89, and the Moonwalker video came out in 88. He was working on Dangerous from 89 to 91. That came out late 91, Then he went on tour in 92 which continued on to 1993 and would have lasted longer if the allegations never happened. Then he had a "break" while that was going on, though not really as he was recording HIStory at the time which came out in 95. Then he went on tour in 96 which lasted in to 97. He did the Ghosts short film in 96. Then he had a break when his son was born (rightfully so). And he was working on Invincible since 99.

Lazy? eek

Yep, I give him the break between "thriller" and "bad" though 4 reasons I said in earlier reply, but come on his tour time does not count as virtually every artist except Jacko at least writes, let alone records on tour.....and the "history" tour was all mimed and essentially the same as "dangerous" tour, which itself was quite samey to the "bad" and "victory" tour so his tours r pure lazy and he still could not find time to record on the road?

Also he is way too much of a prefectionist! Working on "invincible" since 1999? Fuck that! He needs to know that we fans will buy any album of new material he releases and that he does not need to perfect any album as critics bash it anyway! Infact they hate the fact that his albums r so calculated!

4 christ sakes Mike just don't be such a damn perfectionist as we don't give a fuck!

Mike is pure lazy and thinks he ca get away with it! And he does to some extent but he would be 10 times more appreciated by critics and fans, and get way more record sales, if he just releases a new album every year/year and a half like the rest of 'em! Most other artists do so y shouldn't he?

Because he isn't most other artists lol. He is Michael Jackson. Michael knows about over-exposure. If he released an album every year it wouldn't be a big deal when an MJ album comes out. Mke likes the hype. He likes every album to be an event. The only time it didn't work for him was Invincible. He was away TOO long and there was no real push behind the album. Before you knew it, it had dissapeared and Mike went on a downhill path that led to his current situation.

Oh, and he does write on tour. Stranger In Moscow was written on tour. He always writes. He doesn't stop writing.

Like I said, the guy has been going non stop since he was 5. Surely that must be taken into account.

Every artist as far as im concerned (with the exeption of Jay-Z), who releases albums every year, either makes such shite music and/or has a loda albums that are crap/nobody remembers/nobody heard of, when looking back 1 or 2 years later.

All kidding aside, if Michael bothered to make some new music, maybe people would remember that he is in fact a great artist.

Errr...no, I've always been a fan of Michael's music (except for Invincible, which I think is a load of crap, to the great annoyance of Cloudbuster), I'm just not a fan of him as a person.

And I don't think anyone has ever applied the word "ordinary" to Michael.

lol

It doesn't annoy me. I just don't like that you say it's crap 'cos I don't think it is. It doesn't bother me that you don't like it. That's fair enough. I just don't happen to hear a crap album when I play it. I'm serious when I say that I think You Rock My World, Butterflies, Heaven Can Wait, Break Of Dawn, Whatever Happens & Unbreakable are among his best songs. That is all. You don't agree and that's fine. But I don't think any of those tracks are what you could call crap. wink

Perhaps in time you'll appreciate more of it. You didn't much like Dangerous or History until pretty recently. And if not? Hey, maybe the next one will be more to your liking. It's no loss to either of us. We just happen to like different things. Although, having said that, looking at your profile it appears that we like a lot of the same artists. smile

i think albums that aren't "perfect" are better because they contain emotion that gets erased through the constant editing and remixing.

maybe MJ needs to remember that

Exactly. Many of Prince's masterpieces are not technically "perfect" ('Lovesexy' for example),but that's what makes these albums so interesting.
