Most Boring 90's Year Musically???

My pick would be...

1995 - BOOOO boo

West Coast / East Coast beef bored
R&B - cartman fart
Alanis was getting played on MTV, VH1 and radio like 800 times a day.

Now there were some good that came out, but most of it was garbage.

(Now Im tryin 2 think of the good of '95..)

There were some good things going on in a lot of areas, the only problem is that stupid rap bullshit. That fucking crap they call "rap" or "hip-hop" has done nothing but fuck up the world of "music" from day one and I will be glad when it fucking dies off.

Musically. the only good rap album that year IMHO, was 2Pac's Me Against The World.

I think 1996 has to be the most boring year. Grunge was on its deathbed, and most of the alternative rock acts sounded like third-rate Stone Temple Pilots clones who wished they sounded remotely like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, etc. In addition, Tupac died, Snoop Dogg was acquitted of murder but had trouble extracting himself from Suge Knight, and I believe Celine Dion would win the Grammy for album of the year (pre-Titanic movie). UUGH! Of course, Smashing Pumpkins and No Doubt blew up with amazing albums, but they could not make up for the overall suckiness of the music scene that year. Anyone still playing their Dishwalla, Merrill Bainbridge, Donna Lewis and Quad City DJ's albums?

GangstaFam

I think '95 was one of the best years of the decade!

To me '99 was awful. It was the start of all the trends we have today: the return of teeny bopper pop, crap rap, watered down alternative and the Latin explosion. Name me one truly good artist that was popular that year.
