Name some remixes that you find better than the original recording and that really bring out the qualities of the song.

For me, I have to go with Gwen Stefani's "What You Waiting For (Jacques Lu Cont's TWD Mix)." I have been playing this mix for the past 7 hours and I can't get enough! It does the song so much justice.

Any of the old 12 Inches as opposed to the album version. The songs sound basically the same, just extended and spruced up in certain parts.

As for the newer songs, I never could get into someone turning a slow song into a song for the dance floor. There are rare exceptions though. I can't stand Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" original version but I like the house version of it.

I forgot about all the remixes of old songs from Ultimix and Hot Tracks Records. I love these. These two record companies take old songs and remix them for clubs. They basically use the original and mix it over another beat, cut it, edit it, and sometimes mix in splices of other songs occasionally. They don't stray too far from the original sound, they just make the original sound a little better.
